Now, I keep talking about the stuff I was hearing in the streets, on other people’s systems, and in people’s boomboxes, and I’d be clowning if I didn’t mention Whodini in that mix!

Seriously, everywhere you turned, somebody was blasting “Five Minutes of Funk”, “Freaks Come Out At Night”, or the block favorite, “Friends” (those lyrics were solid and STILL relevant, am I right?). It was a hood anthem and the other block fave was “Big Mouth” – listen to it, you’ll hear why 

With Larry Smith on the production (we REALLY need to carve out a post JUST to talk about this man), this album is not a classic – it’s HISTORIC.
